The very best of the French and international electronic music scene came together to pay tribute to the artistic legacy of Klaus Nomi, a fusion of pop and opera. Due on Friday 26 April, A Shared Sense Of Purpose is the first track on the album, and the single will be available in 7″ and 12″ formats. Both formats will include an exclusive remix from the Godfather of New Town Synth, Mr Vince Clarke. (If you haven’t already bought Songs Of Silence you really should!)

The 7″ single will contain the tracks A Shared Sense Of Purpose (single edit) and A Shared Sense Of Purpose (Vince Clarke remix). The 7″ will sold on a purple and cream vortex swirl vinyl.

The 12″ single will have A Shared Sense Of Purpose (album version), A Shared Sense Of Purpose (Vince Clarke remix) and two exclusive tracks; Oakwood and A Shared Sense Of Purpose (1973 version). The 12″ will come on baby pink vinyl.

Apparently there isn’t a pre-order link, just the release date on Bandcamp,it seems if you want one of the physical copies you have to order from a record store, but no other details are forthcoming just yet,and this info is from the bands FaceBook page.

Not sure if I should post this here or in the 2015 section, but anyway...

VINCE CLARKE: LISTEN TO VINCE CLARKE'S PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED 2015 REMIX FOR THE OVERLORDS
Here's something that you might not already know about. Back in 2025 Vince did two remixes of The Overlords' 1994 hit 'God’s Eye' - the 'God's Eye (Oozay Remix)', which incorporates a Yazoo riff which I'm pretty sure you will recognise, and the 'God's Eye (Vince Clarke Looney Remix)' - but for one reason or another neither remix was ever released. Until now that is. Courtesy of the T/A/P/E Sound label both of those remixes are now streaming on Spotify here as well as being available on every single digital music platform worth bothering with. Happy listening!

Erasure. Always.
