Re: Hey Now (Think I Got a Feeling) (Single)
Hi everyone
As a person who doesn't live in the UK (I live in South Australia) what does A-List, B-List and C-List actually mean?
I see this mentioned every time an artist I like (eg Erasure, New Order, PSB or Depeche) puts out a single
I guessing it means tracks on the A-List get played more often that the C-List
How often?
I don't think we have the same "List" notion here If we do it's not made public

I can’t find the official rules, but if a song is on the A list it gets played on most of the programmes, the b list the shows can play it if they want to but it’s not guaranteed,C list it might get played but isn’t a sure fire addition.inchmix wrote: Thu Jul 16, 2020 8:46 pm Hi everyone

The rules have probably changed, but a few years ago A-List was around 16 plays/week, B was around 10/week and C-list was around 4/week.Pughie wrote: Fri Jul 17, 2020 3:27 am I can’t find the official rules, but if a song is on the A list it gets played on most of the programmes, the b list the shows can play it if they want to but it’s not guaranteed,C list it might get played but isn’t a sure fire addition.
I've heard Hey Now played twice on Radio 2 this morning already and it's only 10am!

Re: Hey Now (Think I Got a Feeling) (Single)

Well it’s finally dropped off the Radio 2 playlist completely after 5 weeks that’s a bloody good run.
Thanks to John Marshall for keeping us informed.

This week still has Hey Now as most played track on Radio 2,but it’s now been removed from the playlist. This doesn’t mean they won’t play it again but it should drop down now.
