Wow, I missed it too and it does look great! Received an email today from Lexer saying my order is shipped. I also picked up the Alphaville Forever Young reissue at the same time, but now it's missing from the Lexer website?? Hope there's not a problem.

From Damion on Facebook:

Let me preface that while I'd love to have it, and want EVERY future release/tour to have an enamel pin, not to mention wanting a reissue set of all up to now, it's not what I had expected. It's basically the band name in the Crackers+ typeface in a wide lozenge. From this view it seems to be in black, which, I have to be honest about it, is a tad underwhelming versus a purple or blue enamel which I think would make it "pop" a bit more.

Yet again, I'm ecstatic they decided to do a proper enamel badge vs more of the homemade-type pressed paper button badges which are so easily to replicate and glut eBay with. I'd take this versus another entire set of those.

One last point that I wonder about (until I get it) is whether this can get by with just the one post. This is as wider than the Pop! pin and possibly approaching the two-post Phantasmagorical pin (which admittedly is going to be heavier) but that also had another post due to that width. I expected this to have a post versus the safety-pin type closure on some of the older enamel badges like Pop!, but that old style works better for stability on a wide badge; especially on a lapel. I wonder if this might be a "spinner" for lack of that extra post. Maybe it's time to bring back the 70s lapel? ;)

I'm sure better pictures are to come, hopefully from ME. :)

So a Acapella means synths does it?

I kind of called it/had my suspicions in the other thread where I mused on what it might be and said "it's not unknown for mixes to be billed as 'A Cappella' and have some minimal musical backing, so it could be a stripped down version. Maybe no percussion or bass."

..haven't we all learned by now to NOT take things at face value?

So is the Dreamlike State (7" A Cappella Mix) it actually something new / previously unreleased? I have my doubts...

Breath of Life (Accapella Mix) has very basic synths. If we want to get really pedantic, "accapella" is not really the correct word or phrase, so maybe it was misspelled on purpose.

I can confirm it is indeed previously unreleased (although not 'new').

It's as you say - and as I too suspected - a stripped down version but still with synth backing. Basically it's like the original 7" but with no beat or percussion, and without the bass synth.

Personally, I was never keen on this track's percussion anyway, so I like this better!

Also - and I'm not sure if you're saying the same or the opposite - bur for clarity, technically speaking 'A Cappella' (with a space), is the traditional and 'correct' spelling.

So, Laurent at UEC on Facebook has just posted the rear view of the badge:

As I suspected, it looks like a spinner if there's no sharp prong with the post. Hopefully I will find out personally, but don't assume I'm drunk if you ever see me wearing it crooked. :)

You only tell me you'll wear me when you're drunk.
