Post by Pughie »

Image

Erasure formed in London in 1985 with Andy Bell on vocals and Vince Clarke (formerly of Depeche Mode and Yazoo) on keyboards. Erasure defined the electro-pop sound of the era and became one of the most successful chart acts in the UK between 1985 and 1995.

This career defining broadcast from The Milton Keynes Bowl, UK, on 1 September 1990, was the final night of their Wild! tour and drew a crowd in excess of 60,000.

Highlights include - A Little Respect, Who Needs Love Like That? and Sometimes.

This limited-edition collector’s vinyl is hand numbered and is restricted to just 500 copies; hand pressed on splatter vinyl. Due to the manufacturing process each vinyl will have it’s own individual pattern – a true one of a kind!

It does say it’s a mock up,but why go to the trouble of mocking one up when you could just do it from the start.

Erasure - Summer At The Bowl (12-Inch Vinyl Test Pressing)

Image

'Test pressings', often known as white label pressings, are copies produced from the masters by the pressing plants in tiny quantities of between ten and thirty copies. These test discs are then sent to the artists and record companies for approval before the main manufacturing is commenced.

These discs are very rare and much sought after by collectors as these are the working copies intended for the artists and label executives to check that the vinyl mastering process is true to the master tapes. The discs were not created for retail sale as part of a manufacturing run – they are genuine test pressings used at work in the industry.
