This will feel a bit weird, as I went to see Yazoo live on their last tour. I hope they won't change the songs too much.
I will be seeing her in Bristol, though I really wanted to go to the Hannover show, as the venue is so lovely.

I can only catch her next here on the HL tour, which sucks as I'd obviously want to see separate shows as headliners, but this also hurts as it seems like a "alright, he'll never say yes again, so I'll go ahead now" kind of response to Vince not budging. I mean, I STILL cannot watch him say it to Daniel in that sit down. I just can't. We should have another damned Yazoo tour. There's no real barrier to doing it.

Just step back and look at the situation with Erasure and realise that's Vince's first priority. Effectively, nothing is happening. It will be end of Q1 2026 soon. Based on regular schedules for creating an album, you usually need to allow 8-10 months from the final songwriting before it's released (to accommodate the PR, marketing, single releases etc). Even if the band finished all the songwriting now, it would be a struggle to get a new album released this year. My best guess would be that the boys do not have a complete album written yet based on everything we've read and heard so far - it's very very quiet this year so far.

And that's taking into account the last full album was The Neon....written 7 years ago!

In addition, Vince doesn't like to tour, but will do it reluctantly. With recent events surrounding his personal life, this will make him more reluctant. I guess something will happen with Erasure to mark 40 years since Wonderland, but even that's a bit doubtful - we'd have heard something by now. Big tours are announced at least 6 months in advance.

We have to face some facts. No-one is sure what's going to happen or what will happen quickly. But we have to hope for some Erasure news, not expect Vince is suddenly going to relaunch Yazoo again

Obviously, a Yazoo tour or gig wouldn't be booked against an Erasure one, or anything actively in production be it writing or recording either, but outside of Vince's personal dislike of live performance, and potentially remaining time to mourn Tracy's passing, there is still nothing else that is a common roadblock. No lack of fan or promoter interest, no need for new material to promote it...average needs for other things to even be a twinkle in someone's eye, much less a viable effort. That is the context in which I am speaking.

Years back, it wasn't solely Alison's resistance (which has completely dissolved), but other factors too. Now, barring Vince's resistance, whatever the basis, there seems less in the way, and likely more offered as incentive now to undertake another tour or a few limited gigs. That is very frustrating for those who want to see them take the stage one more time.
