Okay, I need a bit of help. I've been searching for this, but I can’t find any information online anymore—I'm starting to wonder if I dreamt it. I vaguely remember that, years ago, there were renovations at a London tube station, and during the work they uncovered some old posters on the walls. One of them was supposedly from Erasure’s Wild! tour. Does anyone else remember this or know anything about it? Thanks in advance!

I can’t say I’ve heard this story,I’ve had a good ‘google’ but to no avail ….. anybody?
It’s possible I’ve watched Secrets Of The Underground that had some nice poster finds but from way back.

Quick update because this topic about the poster in the London tube randomly came back to my mind today, and I decided to give the mystery one more shot.

I went digging again and even tried using AI to see if it could point me in the right direction. Surprisingly, it did. It helped confirm that this was not something I dreamt up and that it actually happened. I found old links to the photos on Flickr, but they were no longer working, and it turned into a bit of a digital scavenger hunt from there.

After some more digging, I realized the images were private and tied to a Flickr account. I managed to get back into Flickr after years of not checking it and was able to contact the person who took the photos.

That is when everything clicked. His name is Mike, and he used to work at London Underground as a Design & Heritage Manager. He was directly involved in the 2007 renovation work at Oxford Circus station, which is when the Erasure Wild album posters were uncovered. Mike was kind enough to share the photos with me after I reached out, which honestly made my day.

So yeah, I did not imagine this after all. Huge thanks to everyone here who tried to help when I first asked. Really appreciate this community, and it feels great to finally close the loop on this one 🙂
