Pughie's Review
Well the day started for me with the immense thought that goes into the wardrobe department, not much choice i grant you but a new 'SH 101' tee does the trick,no flashing belt buckles this time!

Angela drove down from Newcastle to Leamington to travel down with me,we just managed to get to the congestion charge area as it shut down, that was close, got to car park around 6.25pm,we separated then as i took the scenic route to the venue via Downing Street, and Westminster, the London Eye etc. She headed for her hotel,i got to the BFI about 6.45pm where i met the star of the screening stood outside ...... Debra from Hull via Wilmslow!!,we then spotted Mooger & Ann,so after we invaded their quality time, the BFI 4 then sat around for what seemed like an eternity waiting for a 5th Musketeer to arrive, which eventually turned out to be Angela, closely followed by Debi, then the floodgates opened (sorry if i miss anyone) Big Andy,Jill & her hubby who i can never remember his name,Lisa Angel,Lois & hubby. The 'disco' or 'DJ's' as i'm sure they like to be called started what can only be described as a over 60's tea party selection to which we had to personalise into a EIS sing-a-long featuring the vocal talents of Debra in full swing accompanied by Big Andy complete with dance moves,i don't think the place knew what had hit it. But after a few requests for Erasure, which was met with a rather bad attitude problem from the DJ,but who relented with Bjorn Again doing Erasure.

After a tip off rom Angela i casually waltzed around to the ticket office to catch Andy,Paul & Val arriving after a quick hello and handshake they headed off to the green room.
After a few drinks plenty of E-related chat, and chatting about the serious issues of the day like why has the food stopped etc,we eventually headed for the screening which was running slightly late about 10.50 i think when we got in. More well known faces appeared,Swanny,Wayne,Greg,Alan,Gareth etc.

The film was introduce and we had a short speech from the director's and Paul, then Andy came in and had a brief chat before the Documentary Behind the scenes with V&A,amongst all the cheers for individual stars of the Doc....ie Debra everytime she came on screen, much to the delight of most of us. Most of the usual faces came with cheers especially Val & her handbag of delights.
Then the concert film,to which we all sang along and danced in various seated dance moves, until the last track Stop! came on to where Debra,Debi & Big Andy all got up and danced away at the front.

After we all met Andy and had photos/autographs etc, overall the night was great and well worth the travelling etc,met up with some good E-friends again which is always nice, and got to meet Andy & Paul again, yet another photo for my collection. Daniel Miller & Dean Bright were also spotted around.

I eventually returned home at 4.20am,tired but happy, and now ive seen the film i can safely watch my DVD at some point. Just to give her some more exposure well done Debra for your vocal input to the night,i'm sure if you arranged some gigs you and Big andy could be the next Peter's & Lee.
