Is there a US promo 7" that contains a short version of one of the remixes?

Afraid not. That said, this is a rather cleanly edited version of the Mexican Mix that matches the time of the standard US 7" mix. At first listen, I thought I missed something too and checked a few things to make sure. Nicely done all the same.

davekcmo - you may be thinking of the US 7" promo of Oh L'amour, which does have an exclusive edit of the PWL Funky Sisters Remix.

35 years ago today this single was released and is the reason I got into Erasure and because of what happened in the next 35 years means I’m still here and still loving what they do.
