The Neon (2020)

Loving the new album. Will sit with it a bit longer before reviewing.

Didn't want to post this on Facebook, but has anyone that got the vinyl of the album having issues with the sound quality? There is some distortion on some of the tracks and the bass just isn't there like the CD or streaming. Anyone?

I had slagged off this album via audio snippets. How wrong I was- This is a superb album and can only hope for The Neon Deluxe with the 6 deleted tracks and more.

I'm wanting a Neon extended mostly highlighting Vince's work on the album!

I'm not convinced those extra tracks are finished. Didn't Andy say to Vince at the launch party he has those extra tracks (from Vince) he needed to work on and I remember earlier I read that the record company had picked the top 10 from the demos they created and they finished mixing those earlier this year.

I had the impression the other tracks weren't yet fully completed? Maybe that's why we've not seen them as b-sides and we've only had remixes so far?

Interesting! I'm sure I read somewhere though that they'd only just finished mixing the 10 tracks needed for the album. Sure of that. I'm also sure Andy said the other tracks would appear 'at some point' rather than anything definitive.

I guess we'll find out soon. I'm not convinced the other tracks are finished though.

Well done Erasure on reaching the highest chart placing since 1994 with The Neon.
It’s ended the week at Number 4 in the album charts.
