Everybody will Dance is a decent track. Quite surprised.

Oh I wish we got some Erasure news. Was only thinking last night if the boys don't get together soon, we'll get nothing new for most of 2025. I doubt Erasure is over as an entity, but I do fear Vince might want to retreat somewhat and not want the commercialism and touring aspect which comes from a new release.

Pet Shop Boys will release ‘New London boy’, a “fifth and final” single from Nonetheless, in November.

It is being promoted alongside their cover of David Bowie’s ‘All the young dudes’ and, in an exciting development, there will actually be two CD singles for this release (when’s the last time any band issued two CD singles for one song?).

The first CD – with Neil cover – features a radio edit of ‘New London boy’, a new song ‘Beauty has laid siege to the city’ and two remixes of ‘All the young dudes’.

The second ‘remixes’ CD single – with Chris cover – includes two further remixes of ‘All the young dudes’, a remix of ‘New London boy’ and – finally – ‘Clean Air Hybrid Electric Bus’ the bonus track from the Japanese CD of Nonetheless.

Both CD singles are packaged gatefold card wallets, printed on uncoated board, which is consistent with all the CD singles from Nonetheless.

‘New London boy’ / ‘All the young dudes’ will be released on 15 November 2024.

Two CD singles

César

Pet Shop Boys are celebrating 40 years together with a campaign called ‘Since 1984’.

We are promised a series of exclusive products, under this brand, and in true PSB style the first is rather un-rock ’n’ roll – a fine bone china tea set!

The 22-karat gold-plated range has been designed by longtime design partners Farrow and encompasses cups, saucer, tea pot, milk jug and sugar bowl.

Each piece is “hand-finished” and decorated with PSB symbols (pointy hats, silhouettes, Chris’ glasses from the Suburbia single sleeve, etc) and has been made in the UK by Duchess China.

Each set comes with a certificate of authenticity and prices start at £200 (for a milk jug and sugar bowl). They will be ‘released’ in November and can be pre-ordered via the PSB site.

I hear they’ll be covering Erasure’s ‘Storm in a Teacup’ as promo!
