I really disliked the Nimmo remix, it ripped the heart and soul out of the song. It is not that long but it seemed to last an hour. A few days to go to find out if any of them is any good, my expectations are pretty low now. I am sure the album will make me happy enough to forget about this one.

The mixes are available now on tidal and spotify
I like the mixes overall. I preferred the longer versions than the edits
Would have loved a classic extended mix though as the original is really open to it

I agree with everything you say,I actually like the mixes in the order they are on the release Phillip George,Daybreakers then Nimmo.

The new one from Andy Bell and Vince Clarke sounds like a lost electro-pop anthem from the early Eighties. In a good way.

Think the Mixes are ok - but still think the (Tecnoman SF Re-Mix) is just as good / better than some of them. Maybe next release Mute should let these remixers battle it out and release some of them as proper mixes - maybe we should vote on them

We are not going back to the glory days of mixes anytime soon
