Earlier tonight during Vince's radio show/DJ gig at the pub in Brooklyn, he said the album is complete other than mixing which will happen in London in January!!
I later asked him to let us know a little more about the album but he was tight-lipped! I asked "how do you feel about it?" and he mumbled something like "it's ok, I guess."

Wow, that seemed really quick! Looking forward to some official news.
I'm going to assume, hopefully incorrectly, that the album will only have 10 tracks. I guess we can infer that this album will be rather soulful if the backup singer(s) appear on 8 or 9 tracks. The question is whether this album will have a soul bent or a disco one. Maybe a mix of both?
I'm still keeping my fingers and thumbs crossed for a spacey sci-fi album with an italo disco sound!

Wasn't there a posting somewhere saying that they'd written SIXTEEN songs for this new album? Sounds like they've got plenty enough for a 10 track album with plenty to spare for b-sides! Unless of course 'the boss' has deemed a large proportion of them 'not good enough'. But then that's the advantage of writing more songs than you need - you can cherry pick the best for the album.

Vince said this during the latest synthesiser Show-
“Vince did let a small morsel of news slip on his radio show yesterday when he revealed that not only has Andy been working on lyrics for sixteen potential songs for the next Erasure album, but also that Andy will be going into the studio on Monday to start recording some initial vocals!”
