Exciting things brewing with my friend Andy Bell. Without a doubt, the most talented lyricist I have ever worked with! Can't wait for everyone to hear these amazing songs.

Great news, but am I the only person who is finding it a little strange Vince (solo) is saying he's finished the new album and it only needs Andy to layer the vocals (we've heard nothing of the boys getting together for songwriting, so assuming Vince has done the entire album), yet we're saying Andy with Dave finishing off his own album which he's clearly been writing with Aude.

All seems a little strangely fractured to me, a little like Andy has been keeping some distance. Or am I over-thinking things?

It might be a case of an agreed-upon order of releases. And even if/when the new E album is near complete, it seems they’re not prepared to release it anytime soon, which isn’t surprising.

Yep, but the boys haven't appeared to have gotten together nor done any songwriting. Vince has implied he's done the lot?

I don't think any band releases anything soon. It takes ages for for a record company to finish, schedule, plan and then sort the artwork and production for any new album.

I think Vince had said he had finished the new Erasure album,but I’m sure he implied that it only needs Andy to put vocals to it,Andy may not have even written any lyrics yet.
I’m sure this is how they recorded the Neon,Vince did the music first then Andy added his input.

I guess. But just seems odd to see Andy writing with Dave and Vince doing the Erasure album himself, even though The Neon was produced this way. Dunno, just feels like an uncomfortable new way to produce an Erasure album. I guess we'll see.

What do I think? I think I'd rather have Andy work on the vocals for the new Erasure album. Although if I'm being completely honest, I'd rather have Andy and Vince actually sit and write songs *together* again.
