ERASURE: 'OH L'AMOUR: THE ERASURE MUSICAL' IS LOOKING FOR YOUR SUPPORT TO TAKE THE PROJECT TO THE NEXT STAGE
You may remember that earlier this year, not long after the world went into full-on lockdown, I shared a link to an 'in development' performance of a proposed Erasure musical called 'Oh L'Amour'. Since that video went online the musical's creator, Paul Lavoie, and his steadfast team have been hard at work trying to find ways of moving the project forward in these strange and challenging times, and have today launched a special crowdfunding campaign which will allow them to prepare new production of a 24-song showcase version of the show which will be recorded in Los Angeles and then premiered online later this year. A new cast is promised, plus some special surprise guests. Exciting right? Here's how you can help: check out the 'Oh L'Amour' crowdfunding page, read all about the project, watch Paul's very touching introductory video, and consider supporting the campaign to make his plan for an Erasure musical into a reality. There are some lovely items available in exchange for your support... check everything out here-

Vocal Recording Day 1 (Thanks to You)!
The day has finally come! Today it's "Always" and "Be With You" and parts of "Phantom Bride" and "Sometimes." (As multiple singers can't be in the studio at the same time, only solos will be recording in a one pass.). I'll document the day on our social platforms. There would be no today without all of you - thank you from Mitch, Shep, Alex, Josh, all the cast and me!

Studio Recording Day 1 Recap
It was a hot one yesterday (today and tomorrow are supposed to be worse) and even with the usual first day delays and set-up, we still managed to record all we had on our schedule. There are only a few solos, so most songs are recorded over a number of days (with the primary performer singing first). Bigger numbers like FINGERS and THUMBS, HOME and OH L'AMOUR span a few days. Yesterday, we also recorded "Beau's" guitar accompaniment to SOMETIMES and BLUE SAVANNAH - two of the most popular re-workings from our first show in 2016. PHANTOM BRIDE and ROCK ME GENTLY are two news songs and it was so fantastic hearing them for the first time. "Savannah" sings PHANTOM as a lullaby in Act II just before a big reunion and ROCK ME is "Bobby's" lament on his self-sabotages of all the good things in his life - especially a budding romance with "Sam." Some great stuff to look forward to today!
