HOT NEW 7TH HEAVEN REMIX NEWS



The album version of Claire Richards with Andy Bell's fabulous cover of ABBA's 1978 hit 'Summer Night City', produced by Steve Anderson, is released on Wednesday, 26th July (that's one second past midnight tonight here in the UK!).

We're imagining the epic 7th Heaven remix of it will be issued (in some form) soon after to capitalise on the excitement of this big pop release - one, we imagine, will please Claire, Steps and ABBA fans alike. Jon turned out an absolute corker. It is his favourite ABBA track so he went to town on this one! It is 6:43 of 7th Heaven magic. As soon as we hear what the release plan is we'll let you know.

It would be nice if the summer weather returned for the release of this joyous summery pop anthem!

Someone leaked the track (well, the whole album!). I've not heard it, but a couple of Summer Night City personal reviews:

Andy's vocals are a bit too dominant on this one. I get what they were going for as the original has a lot of the guys on it, but he drowns Claire and the backing track out.

Summer Night City is abominal.

I guess we'll hear it in a few hours!

Yeah, that's not very good. It's like they've recorded separately and with no direction. Andy's vocals even sound a bit muffled like he's recorded it at home. Just doesn't seem to synergise properly as a duet.

I'd prefer to hear Andy layered vocals! ABBA-esque is amazing.
