Alright - so when I drop into the forum I've been known to come up with these little assignments.  I find them fun and I hope you do to!

If you could pick 1 song from each album/EP and 2 b-sides that V&A had to play on the next tour what would you select?

Wonderland - Reunion

The Circus - The Circus

The Innocents - Phantom Bride - I saw The Erasure Show 5 times in NYC, but missed the shows where they played this song.  Still have not heard it live.  One of life's regrets now that I did not go to every show that tour

Cracker's International - The Hardest Part

Wild - You Surround Me

Abba-esque - S.O.S.

Chorus - Turns the Love to Anger - very fond memories of hearing this song during the 2nd act of Phantasmagorical Entertainment show.  Play it!!!! It's been so long!

I Say x 3 - Blues Away - I know Andy has trouble getting up this high, but I think it would be brilliant in a lower register as well.  Every track on this album is amazing so would realistically settle for anything except Always and Run to the Sun

Erasure - Angel

Cowboy - Treasure

Loveboat - Perchance to Dream

Other People's Songs - True Love Ways

Nightbird - Sweet Surrender

Union Street - Blue Savannah - 'I'm a ho so let's get down'

Light at the End of the World - Fly Away

Tomorrow's World - Just When I Thought it Was Ending

Snow Globe - Loving Man

Violet Flame - Be The One

B-side 1: Over the Rainbow

B-side 2: True Love Wars

My my to see all the albums listed here....we sure have been spoiled.  in '95 I feared that 'Erasure' would be the last album they would make.  I'm glad I was wrong!

Sounds fun.  I'd have to go for the lesser- or never-played tracks.

Senseless
If I Could
Imagination
The Hardest Part
How Many Times?
Turns The Love To Anger (close runner up: Siren Song)
Voulez Vous
Take Me Back
Grace
How Can I Say
Here In My Heart
Video Killed the Radio Star
Sweet Surrender
Home (Union Street)
Darlene
Just When I Thought It Was Ending
Bleak Midwinter (close runner up: Loving Man)
Let It Flow
Dodo

Picking 2 b-sides is impossible!  Also, @luminous - Blue Savannah wasn't technically on Union Street but I do love that version too.  Personally, I'd be happy with no more acoustic stuff though (live or studio)!

I've yet to find a mo' to settle on my answers, but I can't let this go unacknowledged:

If you had, it would have been ten days of Tin Soldier.

They did it once, and if I believe Greg, it was for me. The night they did, though, was Andy's birthday, and BrooklynSue had brought us core crazy fans some party favors to wear. I went wild...well as wild as I could get when they played PB, grabbed a sharpie, upturned my hat and scribbled in it.

Then, as some pictures surely show, I waved it about for Vince to see (I was in front of him, and couldn't get his AND Andy's attention).

He stopped and peered at it as if I had made a death threat. Read it, and grinned. That capped the evening for me.

Before you ask, yes I DO know cursive! It was dark and I was drunk...or high...or both. I mean, they did PB, so anything goes. I might be a father and not know it.

I was at 8 of the NYC "Erasure Show" shows which fortunately included the night they did "Phantom Bride"! Luminous786, don't despair, I have a feeling they may include it in their next headlining tour!

Cracker's International - The Hardest Part

Wild - Brother & Sister

Abba-Esque - Voulez-Vous

Chorus - Waiting For the Day

I Say I Say I Say - Take Me Back

Erasure - Rescue Me

Cowboy - Treasure

Loveboat - Here In My Heart

Other People's Songs - Solsbury Hill

Nightbird - I Bet You're Mad at Me

Union Street - Alien

Light at the End of the World - Golden Heart

Tomorrow's World - Just When I Thought It Was Ending

Snow Globe - Loving Man

Violet Flame - Reason

B-side 1: La, la, la

B-side 2: In the Name of the Heart

@tinsoldier. What a brilliant story!  I certainly will be going to every NYC show on the next tour. Kind of hoping for a redux if the many nights at Irving Plaza.

I don't believe I've met any of you. Perhaps that one night at Girl's Room when there was a night of Erasure many many years ago. I'm sure there will be a pre-gig meetup on the next tour so definitely count me in when the time comes. Erasure days are a coming!!!

Oh and glad everyone is having fun with this thread. I did ask Vince to play Home on this tour and he said he would check with Dinger. Made a similar request for Joan during the Violet Flame Tour and they made it happen so maybe they will bring that one back.

You are so right. Can't say I know the track listing of Union Street by heart. I think I've listened to the life album more often. I tend to agree with you. I'm not a fan of Erasure acoustic. I didn't make it to the fan gig but was really disappointed to hear they went the acoustic route. Still I'm sure it was an interesting detour for the boys and I'm just happy they are still making tunes.  We are incredibly spoiled and lucky.

Hold up hold up!  Sorry kwerty and Mike but Pop! Remixed is NOT an album (not unless you also want to count Two-Ring Circus)!  However, I would love to hear both of those versions live

Also, great choice kwerty on Perfect Stranger from Chorus.  Though I knew it, it didn't occur to me when writing my answers that we've never been give a true full performance of the song live, just the "Casio keyboard" version.  Can I change my answer lol???  Great song.

'Pop! Remixed' IS an album.

And yes... 'the Two Ring Circus' is also an album.

Why do you think they're not?

Anyway.. thanks for pointing out that I missed out The Two Ring Circus! It means I can change my list slightly

Kudos to Mike for picking from 'Pop! Remixed' and for picking IDHTB from The Circus - it's one of my favourites and a song I'd like to hear performed again too. With that in mind, I'm going to replace my choice of Leave Me To Bleed to IDHTB too.

But I also get to have my cake and eat it, and I can still have 'Leave Me To Bleed' from 'The Two Ring Circus'.

Result! I win!!
