This has always driven me crazy.  Does a US LTHY promo CD exist?

I have never been able to confirm it, but I remember a rumor it does and could include the rare Bruce Forest Remix Edit (which I know was available elsewhere).

Surely it must exist right?  Erasure were at the height of their popularity around this time.  I even remember seeing Chorus and LTHY on MTV which I never thought would happen.  After the popularity of Chorus (which got 2 promo CDs!), why would Sire not have issued a promo for LTHY and if they did, why is it so rare??

Any info?

It does, I've held it in my hands but don't own it. Skery from this form owns it and he has this rare 1 track promo. I have looked through 1000's of used bins looking for this holy grail of promos

Exciting!  Does it indeed contain the Bruce Forest Remix Edit, or just the regular version?

It's just unbelievable how rare it is.  Maybe Skery can submit it to Discogs, which doesn't have it.

I don't have it either, but do have a picture somewhere. I'll see if I can at least post that. I also have Warner's catalogue info on promos, too. If this has a PRO-CD-XXXX number, it's definitely in there (gotta dig that out).

I'll trade my FMTM for this, btw.

Beautiful!  It really is real!

Can anyone confirm the track and time?  No mix name is given so I assume the album version?

Yep, that's it.

I can give you track times, track ID numbers, and if the track was on any other release (which we know already), if I can dig out the damned docs.

Just to give an idea of how long that might take: I promised Uncle Mike a copy ten years ago.

As far as I can remember, the US PROMO CD is a 1-track disc with the Bruce Forest Remix Edit as featured on Follow Our Tracks, Volume VII.

I have both the FOT disc and The Flashback Four promo discs.

The Love To Hate You remix packages from around the world were my favorite ever Erasure releases.

If it's true the US promo CD does contain the Bruce Forest Remix Edit as it's one and only track, that would explain it's rarity.  They must have been destroyed, though a very few got out.

From what I read in another thread, the mix was originally 14 minutes long and the band didn't want to release it, but finally agreed after it was edited down to around 6.  If they were already unhappy with the mix, and the promo had a radio length version, they must have canceled or recalled it faster than you can say "Don't Say Your Love Is Killing Me - Cold Blooded Dub."
