That the other thread is more popular says an awful lot.

Hi friends - I have some thoughts on the FM2M box so let's start with the positives.  My favorite thing, in fact the whole reason to buy it, is the Rarities disc.

Waiting for the Day (Demo) sounds wonderful.  Love it!  Though we had a passable recording in the Chorus demos, this version sounds divine.  I wish they release all the Chorus demos already.

Am I Right? (Guitar Demo) - wow.  Very pretty.

Chanson (Moon & The Sky French Demo) is surprisingly beautiful.  I think I like it more than the original, which I admit I've never been a huge fan of.

The Untitled Loveboat demo is pretty nice too.  Here in My Heart is my favorite Loveboat track and it's nice to hear the "first draft."

It's also nice to have a lossless version of Symphony which I/we only had as an mp3 from Vince's old site.

This disc - even though not perfect (imo we deserve a 13-disc box set of all discs like this) - was worth the price of admission for me.

For those in the US without PAL/SECAM playback, the Wild! DVD has more tracks than the US LD or VHS version:

- How Many Times
- Knocking On Your Door
- Chains Of Love
- Ship Of Fools
- It Doesn't Have To Be
- Oh L'amour
- Spiralling

So right now that's the best part for me (follow up being the new remixes and rareties that I didn't yet own).

Recap of all the exclusive and newly available tracks in From Moscow to Mars

Heart of Stone (Live 198 is the BBC 'In Concert' live recording which was on the Innocents 21st Anniversary Edition bonus CD

Sucker for Love (Edit) - was on the 7" vinyl of Storm In A Teacup

Blue Savannah (Out of the Blue Mix) - was released officially on the Retro:Active (Rare & Remixed) compilation CD (https://www.discogs.com/Various-RetroActive-Rare-Remixed/release/8293933)

Oh L'amour (Almighty Remix) - I've got this on what I recall was an official compilation of Almighty remixes - not sure if it was a promo but maybe was only available for sale via Almighty's own website.

Moon & the Sky (The Beatmasters Remix) - yeah, I'm not buying that this is anything new Same mix, different name.

I updated my post.  Was trying to find the right wording that the Edit had only appeared on CD on the promo

Heart of Stone - damn you're right, I missed that.  At least it wasn't advertised as previously unavailable!  That means of the 6 tracks in the bonus download, only 2 were never released before.

This was also put as a 4 track promo for Almighty subscribers only.

This fact is a tantalizing one...especially to me.

Not to blow my own horn, but that track would not have been commercially released but for my doing legwork for Alex (aka Hush) and helping him curate those discs. He was in contact with a Warner Special Markets rep to get tracks approved, and reached out to erasure.org for track suggestions. I ran down every WEA distributed synthpop artist I could think of. Obviously, I immediately prioritized a certain band (although, I played the same part in the inclusions of Figures On A Beach, When In Rome, etc) and cited the promo-only exclusive tracks not previously released (which got his mouth watering ). When giving him the PRO-A/CD numbers, I said this had to be #1, and it was.

However, I bring this up now, as we may have set set some legal precedent here. For years prior, Mute (UK) had inferred, or downright claimed, those Sire/Elektra/Maverick-commissioned remixes were not available to be licensed to them; barring new contracts with the remixers for commercial release.

If that was true, then we created an underground railroad for this track by getting it commercially released first, and I now regret not convincing Alex to include others which now might be included here.

No, I won't sleep well tonight...

That's a good title for a Pet Shop Boys song.
