As our boys will be the supporting act, what effect do you think that will have on any merchandise? In fact, do you think we will have any of note?

I also fear the tour poster's retro Chorus logo might be an indicator of the thematic choice of merchandise we may see. I'd rather see FMTM stuff, or what's based on the new album art, but if their set is all classics, I wonder if it will be mostly Chorus logo emblazoned stuff.

No doubt that there are loads of money to earn on merchandise stuff so surely Erasure will have a stand, but I also wonder if it will be new stuff or just older designed t-shirts?!    ....anyway, I guess they'll do best if the stand is placed right next to a RW one

They will probably be selling the most recent Greatest Hits compilation and I bet they sell loads of them to the Robbie fans rediscovering the amazing E output!

Good for that demographic, I guess.

Me, I think I'll be dropping more cash on one-off custom items again. I can't count on them having an Erasure shower curtain otherwise...

Most touring bands now live off the profits of Merch and offset the cost of self promoting tours since they get the money direct. Record labels dont get a cut of that so artist prefer to stay on the road and make as much as they can

Richard has said they are looking into the possibility of merchandise for this tour.

It would be a big mistake not to take advantage of a Stadium audience that Robbie will draw. The stand to hit a big payday on Merch on that tour.

Of course, but with a greatest hits set, my fear is that it will all be stuff based on Pop! and subsequent compilation art. You would think the new album art might make it to one shirt choice, but who knows.

Not with Robbie yet, but some pics out of the merch at the three UK gigs so far:

From Bruno @vinceclarkeFP on Twitter:

Mark posted this in another thread:

I'm liking it so far. I hope this stuff carries over to the Robbie tour, but I'm assuming that one shirt with the dates on it won't.

Actually, I have to say it's par for the course. Goldfrapp have just done some, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. They always seem to come on cards like this now as if you could find them on a hook in a dollar store.

While I might pick these up, I'm actually not a fan of this style since any of us can make these at home with a hand press. eBay is chock full of such retro-style buttons from bands we know, but that were recently pressed, and that along with the tendency to rust and stain turns me off.

Enamel pins are big with me. I think I have every Erasure one done, some more than one. Those are lovely, and I really wish there had been one for WBG. Even the TVF die-cut pin was miles ahead of these. I'd have paid more for one of those done for WBG.

Nice new tee with erasure Chorus logo with a red heart which is made up of single titles.

Sadly I've tried to get a friend to Gone one today from the Ricoh and they had none bigger than L
