Hi!
This album was not my cup of tea, but there are some songs which were good. Solsbury Hill is far better than the original! And I like Everyday a lot as well as You've Lost That Loving Feeling.  Video Killed The Radio Star is too noisy and corny in my opinion.

I just wonder which songs you'd have suggested to include in the album if you had had the chance. Which songs would you have liked to hear covered by Vince and Andy?

The thing is that Erasure have done some great Cover versions already prior to this starting with Abbaesque. Basically they can Erasurize any song out there. Heck Gaudete is from the 16th Century and its Erasurized. Song choices could have been more tracks from 70's or 80's. I agree that Solsbury Hill is better than the Gabrial version. It seems more powerful.

I'm not too keen on covers so I couldn't think of any songs I would like to be covered by any artist. Yes, there might be some good covers for example "Mad world" originally by Tears for Fears which was done in a quite good way. But I couldn't suggest any hits for Erasure. I personally think, that people who cover are just too lazy to think of own compositions. And that's the reason why I ususually never give covers a chance in the first place. I might miss something. Well.

I've always wanted Erasure to cover Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody I think they could really do it justice with Andy's layered vocals & Vinces synth flourishes.
But also Japan's The Other Side Of Life, mainly because it's my all time fav song.

I'd like an Erasure version of Numb (U2) with Vince singing the The Edge parts and Andy -obviously- the Bono's.
They could make a similar video, too.
Another one, You Spin Me Round (Dead or Alive), they could play it live mixing it with Knocking on Your Door.

Erasure have done some great covers over the years that I hope they continue. B- sides on future singles. Every so often it's nice, not on every single though, prefer  their originals better

I have always loved "you spin me round". Yes, I could imagine Andy giving it to that song! Unfortunately no-one that I know likes "you spin me round". So I would predict that no-one I know would like Erasure's cover.

I would like to see them make a Robbie Williams's cover. I find Andy and Robbie very simmilar in the way they entertain people on stage.

But I don't think that will happen because Andy said he hated all those 90's bands (like take that    )

Uncanny how this was being discussed on this thread! How about a bit of fun?
Choose a Robbie song you think would be great with the V&A treatment and then an Erasure track for Mr Williams to have a go at.
My choice is "Feel" by Robbie for our boys &
"Oh L'amour" to get the Williams touch.

I'd like Erasure to cover "Bodies".

And Robbie can cover "Don't Dance".
