I will never buy another UNDO CD from them directly due to their past conduct. If this is offered by another reseller, I'd consider it, but never them.

Seems a little silly to only put 2 tracks on a bonus CD! There's nothing else you could include, Undo??

Plus we know how they do things as with postage and the very lazy bundling of bonus cds with previously released versions.

OMD - Souvenir - (5xCD/2xDVD Super Deluxe Boxset)

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (OMD) continue their 40th anniversary celebrations with the launch of a career boxset and brand new greatest hits collection. The special box set will comprise 5xCDs and 2xDVDs housed in a 10” box set, together with a hardback book, poster and a series of 10” prints.

The audio discs include all the band’s singles from ‘Electricity’ to ‘What Have We Done’, as well as a brand new single ‘Don’t Go’, exclusive to this release. The box set also includes a previously unreleased live show from the Hammersmith Odeon in 1983, 22 previously unreleased demos from the archive which have been selected and mixed by Paul Humphreys, rare and unreleased live material from the BBC and an entire live show from the Mermaid Theatre in 2011.

One of the DVDs contains BBC TV performances from Top Of The Pops, Old Grey Whistle Test, Later With Jools Holland and more. The other contains a live show from Sheffield City Hall in 1985, another live show from the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane in 1981, as well as Crush – The Movie.

The book contains unseen photos, single sleeve artwork, an introduction by Paul Morley and sleeve notes to accompany the archive material by Andy McCluskey.
This announcement comes as part of another exciting installment of the band’s anniversary celebrations which first saw the reissue of their first four classic albums on 180g vinyl, mastered at half speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road and housed in their original iconic die cut sleeves designed by the legendary Peter Saville, followed by the huge world tour. The band, Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Martin Cooper and Stuart Kershaw will be starting in October in Portugal, stretching through to February 2020 finishing in Paris. To coincide with the band’s Liverpool show, there will be upcoming exhibitions happening at the British Music Experience and Museum Of Liverpool to celebrate the band’s impressive legacy.

Why am I such a sucker for box sets like these?? This looks amazing. I show a total of about $115 after shipping to the US though, which will certainly sting. I love OMD too much to *not* buy this, but I just ordered the Abbey Road 50th Anniversary deluxe box set last week (which comes out a week or so before this OMD box). I may have to wait a month before putting my pre-order in so my wife doesn't kill me.

Expensive music... sheesh! It'll be the death of me, but I suppose it's the best way to go!

Vince's new mix of Almost sounds like a real treat and I'm sure he was thrilled to mix it. A 7" single is a nice collectible, but I hope it gets released on CD at some point - or that one of you kind souls will make a nice rip of it and share it with us. :)

From today’s EIS Newsletter

VINCE CLARKE REMIXES OMD'S 'ALMOST' TO CELEBRATE 40 YEARS OF ORCHESTRAL MANOEUVRES IN THE DARK
If you happened to be looking at Erasure's social media channels on Tuesday morning you may have spotted a short-lived post announcing the pre-order of a special limited-edition 7" vinyl single of 'Electricity' from OMD which will be released in October to mark 40 years since its original release. That original single featured 'Almost' on the b-side and it was that track, which he heard all those years ago, which first got Vince interested in electronic music ("It sounded so different from anything I'd heard; it really made me want to make electronic music, because it was so unique.”), so Vince was delighted when OMD invited him to remix 'Almost' for the new single release. However, and for reasons I'm not entirely sure of, different online stores were working to different announce timelines and the single is actually going to be announced NEXT week, which is why I removed the posts from the social channels not long after they went online.

Why am I telling you all this? Well since the announcement appeared and then vanished, and some people had the opportunity to pre-order the single and others didn't, I've had loads of questions from people about whether their Lexer Music order was valid if they have already placed one (yes it is), whether the limited-edition was already sold out (it isn't), and whether there will be another opportunity to order it (yes, I'm not around to post it on the Erasure channels, but keep an eye on the OMD and Lexer Music websites and social media outlets next week for updates). I hope that helps to clear up any confusion, I still can't quite believe OMD are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their first release, now I feel old...
