ERASURE: THE 'RED HOT AND BLUE' COMPILATION - FEATURING ERASURE'S 'TOO DARN HOT' - TO GET 30TH ANNIVERSARY DIGITAL RELEASE
A smidge over thirty years ago the Red Hot Organisation, a not-for-profit effort dedicated to fighting AIDS through pop culture - released their epic compilation 'Red Hot and Blue', the first in a series of compilation albums designed to raise funds and awareness of the HIV crisis. Red Hot and Blue featured an extraordinary line-up of artists, each of whom covered a Cole Porter classic for the release, and the line-up included U2, KD Lang, Annie Lennox, Jimmy Somerville, Neneh Cherry, Sinead O'Connor and a couple of chaps going under the name of Erasure, who recorded the song Too Darn Hot for the project. Anyway, Red Hot and Blue has since sold over a million copies, but hasn't yet been released digitally for streaming or download. Not until now that is, because I am delighted to report that Red Hot and Blue, featuring Erasure's version of Too Darn Hot, will be released digitally on October 23rd, which is something rather lovely to look forward to!

Looks like the release on streaming has been delayed, so far no sign of it.

I think it’s streaming, not sure exactly where though it’s not on Spotify, also the official website doesn’t actually give any links to stream either, but iTunes has it to pre-order for December 1st.
